ViewsPersonal toolsRSS FeedsFrom Seapine LabsYou can create RSS feeds based on filters to stay up-to-date on projects, even when users are not using or logged into TestTrack. [edit] Creating RSS feedsRSS feeds can be used to view a summary of new or changed TestTrack data in another application, such as an RSS aggregator or Web page. TestTrack RSS feeds are based on filters. Depending on your security permissions, you can create an RSS feed by publishing a filter. Records that pass the filter are displayed in the feed. For example, management wants to keep all team leads aware of critical open customer issues. You can create a filter that displays open defects with Critical selected in the Severity field and then publish the filter. Users can add the feed URL to their RSS aggregator or you can add the feed to an internal Web page. Note: TestTrack data in RSS feeds can be viewed by anyone, not just TestTrack users and customers. Make sure that feeds do not contain confidential information.
[edit] Accessing RSS feedsWhen you subscribe to a feed, you can choose how to display data and copy the feed URL so you can add it to your RSS aggregator or a Web page. Feeds can display a summary of records that pass the filter with a link to the related records or the number of records that pass the filter and the total number of records in the project.
